Bible Central is:
Independent Baptist: our church is autonomous and self-ruling like the church Christ established in the New Testament, the churches started by the Apostles, and the churches started by those who were faithful to the Bible plan of church planting down through the ages. We are not affiliated with any denomination, convention, or hierarchy. We do choose to fellowship with other churches of like faith and practice and our Pastor participates in fellowship meetings with the Vermont Independent Baptist Pastor's Fellowship. Baptists are not, nor have true Baptist churches ever been, Protestant or at any time affiliated with Protestantism or Catholicism.
Fundamental: our church holds to the Bible alone for our faith and practice. We interpret the Bible literally, understanding that the Lord did use analogies, metaphors, etc. to teach literal truths. For example, when the Lord Jesus Christ said that He was the door, He did not mean He was a literal door on hinges, but rather by using that analogy He expressed a literal truth that He was the only way to God the Father and Heaven.
KJV: we use ONLY the King James Version of the Bible believing it to be God's pure, preserved Word in the English language. We believe that any translation faithfully made from the Received Text (Textus Receptus) into a foreign language is also to be recognized as the Word of God for the peoples of that language.
The Great Commission: the Lord Jesus Christ gave top priority to sharing the Gospel with people around the world, starting in our own towns and cities, progressing into our own region (e.g., Vermont), then into the rest of our country (e.g., United States) and finally into the whole world. In keeping with our Lord's instructions, Bible Central of Enosburg does local evangelism through a number of venues, such as setting up a booth for Dairy Days (see photos below). We also support missionaries who do evangelism around the region and country, and finally we support missionaries around the world. Presently we support missionaries in Australia, Columbia, and in the Philippines.
